With Hourglass (sandglass, sand clock, egg timer or german Sanduhr) measurement of time is more beautiful than ever before. Our great iPhone App simulates an hourglass very realistically: hourglass reflects light, sand flows naturally and smoothly, you can flip hourglass and more.
Supports multiple hourglasses simultaneously. Built-in backgrounds are accurate and have a luxury appearance. The Interface is clean, easily usable and realistic.

Not cutting it
Graphics are nice and the sand animation is ok. But the usability is a headache. The simple gestures dont seem to do as expected. Feels clumsy and unintuitive. A simple app like this needs to function without a second-thought. It doesnt.

Nice graphics
Nice graphics. It looks like we have to touch the letters to be able to go from one Hourglass to the other (not intuitive) and date & time timer displays an offset of 4 hours from what I set.

Nice Looking Hourglass App
Certainly the nicest looking Hourglass app available. Unfortunately the tacked-on text overlay ruins the style a bit. There really should be an option to turn the text off entirely! The faux-physics behind the sand animation could be improved (particularly when the Hourglass is flipped), but it does the job. A lot of other iPhone Hourglass apps dont even recognize tilting or allow you to flip the Hourglass over. Changing the background is a nice option, but additional Hourglass skins would be even better - particularly a skin with a classic wooden Hourglass frame or colored sand. Swiping between different timers is easy and works just like flipping through your iPhone home screens. Overall its a nice fun app and aside from that annoying text, the rest of the issues are minor nitpicks.

Two Requests
1.) Please add an option to hide/remove the time display. 2.) Please make the animation complete when turning over the glass or laying it on its side. Take care of these two issues in the next version and you will have the perfect Hourglass app. The existing animation and physics is beautiful and the option to change backgrounds and duration is also wonderful. Perhaps in future versions (the ones where requests one and two are fixed) there will also be options to use pure white or black sand, or import custom backgrounds. Those would be neat extras, but not totally necessary like my first two requests. Props for a beautifully executed app, guys!
